Biography

Albe Falzon
photographer

Albe Falzon is an inspiration to many people. Some might recognise the name and think, did he make movies? They would be right. Some people might think, did he used to work with Tracks Magazine? They would also be correct. Both Morning Of The Earth and the Early Tracks magazines are testament to an era in surfing that seems forever lost, but never forgotten...an era that held a counter-culture statement to the mainstream...it was a simple message of love and simplicity, and truth is, nothing has really changed. Albe is still living on the farm, caring for animals, surfing everyday and creating new films, books but more importantly giving back to nature with his animal reserve, and most importantly enjoying surfing as often as possible with a big smile on his face.

Albe continues to give.

We hope anyone who is interested in Albe Falzon will look beyond the surfing bubble into the real World life of this once Sydney kid, turned country kid who has travelled the World documenting all kinds of interesting material.

Albe is presently working on three books. Essence a pictorial on flowers and exotic images from his world travels. Surf Art a portfolio on the work of ten world renowned surf photographers and, Journey to The Wesak Valley, a diary of his travels to the sacred Wesak Valley,
near Mt.Kailas in Western Tibet.

GLOBUS-The Meaning of Light
is a recently completed co-film venture with Jeff Hornbaker.

Albe Falzon

The Historical documentation of Australian surfing has a large input from this man. Tracks magazine is just the edge of the truth...Morning of the Earth the visual proof of an era immersed in the surfing lifestyle, documenting the classic realms of surfing in an era that had many of Australian full blown legend surfers, such as Michael Peterson, Bobby Brown, George Greenough and Nat Young. Most of this stuff has cult status already only 35 years later, how did it change so fast? Perhaps Albe doesnt really care, truth is he gets more waves today than he ever has...he is living for the waves right now, surfing everyday and working on all kinds of interesting things, like the recent sold out shows Sept 2008 at the State Theatre in Sydney to celebrate his classic surfing film Morning Of The Earth. Within switch-foot, albe contributes his unique images that are blessed with his life path that has continued to surround him with beautiful people that are also beautiful surfers. If you are interested in Albe Falzon's surfing films, then look at Morning of The Earth, Crystal Voyager and Metaphysical...and stay tuned for the Albertfalzon documentary by baker films. . .and more creative output from Albe Falzon in the future.
